Fynbos Rest is a family-run guesthouse on the Westcliff side of Hermanus, a ten-minute walk along the cliff path from the old harbour. Marlene and Deon Visser have been hosting here since 2011. They will know your name by the second cup of coffee.

Getting here

Hermanus is 120 km from Cape Town, about an hour and a half on the N2 and R43. The drive over Sir Lowry's Pass is worth doing in daylight.
