A kitchen table that got out of hand
Thandi Nkosi started Kraal & Kettle in 2016 with one espresso machine and her gran's enamel kettle on the counter. She cooked what she grew up eating, and the Saturday morning queue did the rest.
The eggs come from a farm outside Magaliesburg, the bread is baked here before sunrise, and the lamb in the bunny chow cooks for six hours. Nothing on the plate is there to look clever.
